The name of a GAP depends upon the place at which which the gap is formed

To name a gap we need to see where the gap appears:
Four types of gap:
Area gap: If the gap appears in the non trending area it is called area gap. stock might get a -ve break out.
Break out gap:If the gap appears above bullish break out area it is called Break out gap. It will have high volume.
Runaway gap:If the gap appears above the break out,and in the trending zone it is called runaway gap.
Exhaustion gap:The gap appears during the day (opened with a gap) and in the trending zone buy got filled same day or next day.
The price different between today’s open and yesterday’s close is called GAP.
Types of GAP:
AREA GAP : Gap appears in non-trending area.
BREAKOUT GAP: Gap appears during the breakout.
RUNAWAY GAP :Gap appears in trending zone
EXHAUSTION GAP: Gap filled in same day in trending zone
GAP – stock opens at some where high when compare to previous close.
