    IPO : Initial Public Offering .

    When the company wants to go Public in order to raise capital , it gets the approval of SEBI ,After which it advertises of the IPO and raises the capital.

    IPO- Initial public offer

    Company needs to get approval from SEBI if it is going for IPO

    We can apply for IPO either by online or Offline

    Offline- get the application form for the IPO from brokers,banks or some other sources.You need to fill the application from and submit the money at the designated bank

    Online-For this you just need to have a demat account with  online trading access.You just need to choose the IPO to invest in and can apply for the IPO of your choice.

    Initial Public Offering is the first time a company decides to get into equity market seeking to expand the capital of the business. IPO happens in primary market and before it can offer shares to public for the first time the company needs to be approved by SEBI.
