Why do we need to close the intraday position on the same day? Is it mandate?

We need to close the intraday position on same day because settlement has to be done on same day

It is not mandatory to close on same day we can make it to positional provided there should be sufficient fund available in the account

when traded with brokers margin , on having the sufficient fund to convert into delivery then  it is not mandatory but without sufficient fund to convert into delivery then it is  mandatory.

Intraday trading is buying and selling with in the same day ,It is not mandatory to close the position unless the position is Short on the stock.

But most of the Intraday traders don’t take the risk of holding their position overnight.
