We need stock market to buy and sell stocks. Stock market is similar to any other market enabling trading by the buyers and sellers.

stock market is a spot or hub which facilitates stock trading . the functions of these markets are absolutely the same as any other markets except for the product which is been traded.

stock market is a secondary market where we can buy/sell stocks at a single place with price transparency.
since we have the stock market, I sell without any additional cost like advertisement,courier etc, basically zero cost.
